KANE x MAZZA
Nothing changes if nothing changes. Choose better active recovery with our new limited edition Kane Revive collaborative design with athlete and entrepreneur Brian Mazza.
Athlete and entrepreneur Brian Mazza joined the Kane family last summer and has been an advocate for the functional style and recovery powers of the Kane Revive. Because Brian leads a high-octane lifestyle which results in a lot of stress on the body and has led to many injuries in the past, he knows the importance of proper recovery. A hybrid athlete, Brian knows that everything starts with the feet — the foundation of the body.
"I'm constantly beating myself up training, so it's important for me to take the steps I need to recover," Mazza said. "Everything starts with your feet, your foundation–when you take care of your foundation you set yourself up for success. I, unfortunately, have dealt with some major injuries over the years, and I have to take recovery a lot more seriously."
Our collaboration with Brain reflects our shared belief in chasing athletic excellence, and Brian’s life and work mission centered around intentionality: choosing a better life. Brian lives by the motto, Nothing Changes If Nothing Changes, a personal philosophy of life that relies on self-awareness and hard work. It’s easy to say, but hard to do. Before Brian changed his own life, he was failing to meet his goals and fulfill his potential as an athlete and an individual because of personal decisions. He eventually decided to hold himself accountable. He reoriented his life around the person he wanted to be. That meant making the immediate sacrifices necessary for his long-term fulfillment.
The earth tones of the Kane x Mazza represent that inner reflection needed to choose a better life. The need to get back to the root of who you are as a person, of what makes you happy, and of who you want to be going forward.
On the sole of the shoe is a logo for Brian’s motto which acts as an accountability check each time you put on the shoe. It’s a reminder each day to choose something better and work towards it. Because the reflection has to be followed by the day-to-day effort needed to make it happen
