Good shoes, still unsure if they are worth the price.
These shoes are great! I love wearing them around the house and at the lake. They also work great in the water and dry quickly.
When I got them, I also looked at similar shoes like Crocs. I am not sure that they are significantly better than the crocs to justify the price difference. The material feels exactly the same. The biggest difference I noticed, which I do appreciate, is the improved design that does not feel like it could easily fall off. It feels like wearing untied sneakers, other than the material.
The area in which I appreciate the shoes the most is in the ventilation. They help my feet dry after a sweaty run or ruck. They have definitely contributed to healing my feet, as I now have a show with good ventilation to wear for leisure.
First time owner of Kane's
I purchased my first pair of KANE shoes and wore them for 12 hours straight during a lacrosse tournament. By the end of the day, I had a pretty significant blister just below my left ankle where the shoe rubbed against my skin. Moving forward, I'm not sure how I'll wear them without putting a Band-Aid or some type of blister protection on that area.
Other than that, the shoes are incredibly comfortable. They're lightweight, breathable, and my feet felt great even after being on them all day.
My only other complaint is the limited availability of sizes and color combinations. I still have a hard time finding the size and colors I want, both online and in stores.
Desperately want these to fit!
I love what Kane footwear can potentially offer and I desperately want to find a pair that properly fit. I wear a 10. 5 sneaker so (based on Kane's recommendation), I sized down to a 10 since they only come in whole sizes. I found my heel was slipping out the back quite a bit. So I returned the product and exchanged for a size 9. I knew that was going to be a gamble, and I lost. The 9's are too tight in the toe box. I'm expecting to exchange once more in hopes that the open heel model works for me. Otherwise, the purchasing, exchange, and shipping experience was excellent.
Good recovery show- wish they had half sizes
Bounce
I was expecting the cushioning to be even softer, but it was still quite good overall.
Style
Stands out compared to other recovery shoes in the market.
Shipping
It arrived pretty fast! Just a heads-up, it’s not double-boxed, so if it gets wet (rain) on the way and you don’t bring it inside right away, the original box might warp.
Sizing
The fit was a bit larger than I’d hoped. I’m in between sizes, but I’m not sure if size 10 would have worked for me since I have wide feet.
So far, so good.
I only dock a star because although they are light, they are kind of bulky. I’d also like to be able to wear them without socks - - but I cannot. I think they are too big and will rub my heel, but I am not sure a smaller size would fit with socks. I may try it next time.
That said - they feel good. I have achilles tendonitis and these provide comfort and my joints feel better. I also love that I can hose them down when dirty. Overall - I am happy with my purchase!
1/2 size
Wearing a 10. 5 I didn’t know if I should get an 11 or 10. Went to Dicks to try on both sizes. The 11 felt good but slip off my heel when walking. The 10 was tight but didn’t slip. I went online and bought a size 10. It is tight and feels ok for awhile but eventually my instep starts to feel sore. I have shoe stretchers in them now and that seems to help a little. Hope they become more comfortable in that I really like the shoes.
No complaints. . . at all!
I left a similar review for my OB's, but I think it's just as important here. . .
I like to preface this by saying that Kanes, in general, came to me at a very important time. I’ve dealt with countless lower-body issues and injuries over the years, including ankle sprains, problems with the balls of my feet, plantar fasciitis, broken bones in my feet and legs, and, most recently, a toe sprain.
Being very active into my 40s, my body simply has more demands now and doesn’t bounce back as quickly as I’d like. Kanes offer something that’s extremely functional and supportive—and the fact that they actually look good is honestly a bonus.
I wear these everywhere. With socks. . . without socks, really anywhere I would wear a pair of sneakers/Berks. My feet and legs aren’t nearly as tired at the end of the day, and I’ve noticed fewer of those everyday aches and pains—something I think just about anyone my age would gladly take. Not to mention I get a lot of looks and compliments (even from the sales associates a my local running shop!).
If you haven’t tried these, or any of the other Kane styles (I’m up to four pairs now), you really should. They may not work for everyone, but if they work for you the way they’ve worked for me, you won’t regret it.
Great shoe for neuropathy and plantar fascitis!
Unfortunately, I suffer from neuropathy due to side effects from cancer treatment. I've lost a lot of feeling in my feet and have plantar fascitis, so walking barefoot on hard surfaces is uncomfortable. That's where Kanes comes in!
I typically wear a shoe size 10. 5 wide, so I went with size 11. I only wear them inside the house.
The Revives are a little loose when wearing them barefoot but are very comfortable when wearing them with socks. They tend to "squeak" when I wear them without socks since the bottoms of my feet get sweaty. The pull tab is aesthetically cool, but it doesn't really help when I try to put on the shoe.
The Kanes have really improved my quality of life and I can walk around the house comfortably. I'm more confident going up and down the stairs since they provide great cushion and grip on hard surfaces, and I don't have to worry about them falling off like slides. Since I have neuropathy, I don't really feel the raised bumps on the insole, but it's not a big deal. They look cool and perform well.
WHY did I wait so long to buy them??
I have seen so many friends, even people in my own family, wearing Kanes and I drug my feet on getting a pair. I didn't think they were all they were hyped to be. I wore my son's (a size too big) for a couple days, after my daily runs, to let my feet recover. I was shook. They were amazing, and they weren't even the right size. Jumped on the Kanes website and ordered my Revive Stars and Stripes in grey. I got the delivery notification while I was away on a work trip and literally couldn't wait to get home and try them on. Bottom line. . . my feet crave them after a workout, or when I'm just kickin it for the day working remotely. I'll be ordering another pair today. If you are like I was, not sure whether you should buy a pair or not. . . not sure if the hype is real. . . just order them. You'll be so glad you did. My 52 year old feet are thanking me as I type this. :)
Much More Than Just a Recovery Shoe
We are a lacrosse family and know all about Kanes. My older son loves his special edition Maverick pair so when we needed water shoes for a recent trip to Xcarat Mexico, we looked no further than Kanes. Everyone in the family got a pair for vacation. They were perfect for walking around Tulum and the ecological parks (going from land to water and back to land). They are super comfortable and rinse clean, just like new. My boys also wore them with khakis and a polo to go to dinner at night. Very versatile and so much more than just a recovery shoe!! Living in PA, we will definitely be getting the all weather ones once colder weather hits! Highly recommend!!
Comfy, Quirky, Awesome
These shoes are basically comfort with a personality! 😎 The cushioning feels ridiculously good, making them perfect for walking, running errands, or just kicking back. They’re lightweight, easy to slip on, and the roomy design keeps your feet feeling happy all day.
And let’s talk about the look—the white upper with that navy, red-speckled sole definitely stands out. They’re fun without trying too hard, and I’ve already gotten a few compliments.
Bottom line: Super comfortable, surprisingly stylish, and way more fun than your average pair of slip-ons. If your feet could give reviews, these would get 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Comically crave worthy & impressive
I beat the hell out of my feet, so I figured "recovery shoes" were just influencer bait. You know, the same tier of nonsense as a kid with a rented supercar explaining wealth creation between TikToks.
An elite athlete friend tossed me a pair after a beach day. I laughed. . . then wore them. Bought a pair. Then two more.
Fair warning: don't buy them unless you're okay with every other shoe in your closet suddenly feeling like medieval punishment. Human feet are surprisingly petty once they've experienced comfort.
Gift for my son.
My son and I wear size 15 shoes. Crocks are nice but not supportive. We gifted him a set based on my own experience. I asked him for his feedback and he shared. "Dad, I don't do reviews, that's just corporate trying to engage you", "They don't care how they are, they just want your next sale", "Tell them I can jump 2' higher, and run a mile in 3;45" So my take away is love your children but don't ask questions, (FYI, he wears them everyday, and he is really a 85 year old man in a 42 year old body.
Awesome Product
ABSOLITELY LOVE THESE SHOES!!! I am a medical professional and can finally feel like my feet can breathe! These shoes are fantastic!! The advertising is off the charts!! They know how to target the audience and focus on what truly matters.
Most sneaker companies can advertise their “running shoes, arches etc. ”
Kane advertises all day comfort and they are 100% correct! If I am wearing a shoe 8+ hours a day, I do want my feet to be able to breathe.
A++++ Kane!!
Got two pair --- one size 10 and one size 11
Love them both and often get compliments when I'm out and about. I find them comfortable and haven't experienced any "sweating" on hot days even. The size 11 I bought first and it's slightly too large --- but wearable. The size 10 I got two weeks later and are slightly tight--- but also wearable. I guess I'm suggesting you consider half sizes to be "just right" but again, overall, am very happy with both pairs!
❤️ KANES
I actually bought these shoes for my son, who’s an avid athlete and plays multiple sports. He absolutely loves them and they fit him perfectly. They’re also stylish, which has led to a trend among his friends in our neighborhood. Everyone’s now buying KANES, and they’re practically out of stock in our area. My son started wearing them over a year ago, and now they’re the latest fashion statement.
big help for my feet
I bought my first pair to wear in the house but I found that I really liked them and wanted some to wear to run errands as well. Last weekend, I worked two 10 hour shifts in a restaurant, on my feet the whole time and my feet were not sore! The next day, I had no soreness like I normally do after a long day standing on tile flooring. These shoes are great!
An improvement on an already excellent product
I've had my original Ohio State Kane's for a couple of years now. . . . . they are worn out, beat up, and in desperate need of a refresh. These new ones where just thing! My only issue is that they are white, and I am a slob! I've been getting tons of compliments on them and i've had them less than a week. They are great on the boat! Thanks! I'll be back!
