Kane Revive

Adam Busby is a husband and father of six girls.  He wears a lot of hats being executive producer of his own TV show “OutDaughtered”, owning clothing boutiques and being a freelance photographer.  Adam’s family lives a busy life inside and outside of the house and that is what drew Adam to Kane.  “It is a shoe that I can grab, slip on and go.  Its comfortable and perfect as I am on my feet all day long. I feel revived at the end of the day.  I was a huge fan of the brand but when Kane brought out the Kids line, I was over the moon. Our kids play in the backyard, we go to water parks, we go out to the river and their shoes get dirty. Kanes are great because I can hose them off and they are like new again. Now we have a shoe the whole famliy we can be active in and recover in."

Adam on the Kane x Busby Collection- “I’m a sneakerhead, I love sneaker culture.  I wanted to design a shoe that I could wear every day but also something that my wife and kids would enjoy and be good for the entire family.  We live in Houston, that inspired the Baltic Blue colorway.  My kids absolutely loved the bright colors.  It just pops. Wanted to incorporate our hometown. The Baltic blue is synonymous with Houston, TX culture.  An ode to Houston. For the Sunset Fade colorway, I didn’t want to go with a plain vanilla shoe. It’s unlike any Kane I have ever seen.  The fade sole to the speckled top, earth tone colors that can go with everything.  It’s Just a fun shoe.”

So we ended up developing a collection, releasing 2 shoes at the same time in adult and kids sizes.  This is the first time Kane has ever done this and its really cool to have this opportunity.

The Hangloop tagline “Fight For Joy” on the Sunset Fade colorway– “It’s a mental framework, in a time we were struggling through infertility, fighting to have kids.  We finally had or first daughter Blake and 2 years later wanted to have one more and all of a sudden, this miraculous thing happened and we ended up with the first set of all girl quintuplets ever born in America.  Our life and pace of life blew up. Life became busy, hectic and crazy. The time that we have with our kids and family is limited so we look for the joy in everyday moments.   It’s easy to get overwhelmed as a parent but we look at these moments with our children every single day. We fight to find that joy in those moments knowing we only have a limited amount of time with them before they grow up.  Fight for joy is one of those mindsets we abide by.
